FRANKFURT / MAIN (BLK) - The controversial novel "the end of a night" about the actress Romy Schneider may largely unchanged and unblackened appear. The Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt (OLG) announced on Thursday (15.10.) Instead of the appeals of the Munich Blumenbar publisher and the author Olaf Kraemer and annulled a ruling by the Landgericht Frankfurt. That court had upheld the injunction in February, the third husband of the mother Romy Schneider, Magda Schneider, and applied to the publisher to black several passages (AZ 16 U 39/09).
The Appellate Court judges came to their decision, however, legal to a different assessment. In the constitutional right of freedom of artistic expression had to be above the legal personality of the actress who died, said a court spokesman. Only one set would still be blackened. It had been a "Nazi shrine" to commemorate the Nazi period mentioned, the cutter before the arrival of Allied troops buried in her garden in the spring of 1945, it said in the book. (Dpa / gai)
