'Dance Moves' - Dance Photography by Alex Thompson

Alexandra Thompson, originally from Los Angeles is, lives in Vienna. You are already enthusiastic as 16-year-old for photography. During the day she went with her camera through the streets at night and she worked in the photo lab, which they could rent for 3 dollars an hour.
after director Robert Altman took one look at her work, she got her first job as a professional Photografin. Altman was intrigued by her eye for interesting people and hired them both as his casting assistant, as well as the official photographer of the film location. He explained his method to generate scenarios small, tiny daydreams. " Shoot them as you see them - , Shoot them as you see them 'was his advice

Alexandra Thompson . "These photographs are a collection of my work perpetuating with dancers, both in rest and in motion. Dancers are graceful. They have such control over their bodies and produce their own power and energy this precise fluidity of movement. I wanted to see how this looks from these moments, trying to create something permanent. In these quiet photographs, even though the dancers seem abstract, almost like paintings, are the Movements of real and we see them. "

The Berlitz language school in the first District of Vienna offers its space to as an exhibition space. Alexandra Thompson has exhibited her dance photography and I organized the opening ceremony.
A full house, a team of interviewers (Art In The City), good food and a great success!
